^agreed....
Only reason I'm going to them is Lexus of Concord is only 5 miles away from me. Lexus of Pleasanton (which is where I bought my car) is 35 miles away/ 1 hour drive each way which is a bit too far for me and the other Lexus dealership is Lexus of Oakland which is roughly the same distance as Pleasanton.
This will be the second time in the 2 years of ownership that I have taken my car to the dealership as I do all the maintenance myself. So no big deal having to deal with Concord lexus.

I thought I'd update.
On 11/25 I took my 2008 IS 350 to the dealer with the TSIB. They said it was outdated and there was a newer one and used that to take care of the front brakepads. They didn't say anything to me further so I guess everything else with the brakes and rotors on the car are ok. My car was at 16998 miles at the time of service.
No, I didn't look on the original invoice to see what brake pads were on there. But on the paperwork from the visit where they replaced, it says:
FP-Number 04465-30400 "Pad Kit, Disc BRA"

Hey guys, just got done reading this thread. I have an '06 IS350 with ~25k miles on it. I bought it as a one-owner lease returned CPO with ~19K miles back in September 2009. Couple of questions:
1. Does the dealer perform TSIBs on lease returns before selling a car as CPO? There seems to be a LOT of brake dust generated so I assume not.
2. How long do brake pads generally last? Is ~25k a good time to have this TSIB done or should I wait?
3. I don't have to have service done at the same dealership I bought the car from, do I? I bought my car from Putnam Lexus but plan on having the service done at Lexus of Pleasanton.
4. I plan on stopping by the dealer 10:00 a.m. next Saturday for my free oil change, this TSIB, and the TSIB for the vibrating rear-view mirror. Do you think I can get my car back the same day? What's the policy re: loaner cars?
Thanks!

I think national policy is a loaner only if they need the car over night... but check with the dealership... my local one gives a loaner for any service that'll be more than 2 hours.

Will this still be covered under warranty past 48 months/50000 miles as stated in the TSIB?
Edit: Sorry I made a mistake and posted wrong. I know I'm covered since I have an 07 but my friend has the 06 and his will be past the 48 month mark.
