they are not stiff at all. they are stiffer then stock suspension but thats no comparison because our cars stock are as soft a couch.
the stances are 15 way adjustable. 15 i stiffest and 1 is softest. i have mine on 12 all around right now for daily driving and its nice.
i won a bet a few weeks ago. i was driving to the city with 5 people in the car...mind you this is good ole chicago city contruction zone too. my buddies in the back started arguing what suspension i have and how can my car ride so smooth on cut springs. i told em i have coilovers. i dont do ghetto spring cutting
they couldnt believe me that i was on coilovers. one of my friends is from the VW world and he didnt believe me. he said he never had such a soft set. i bet him a drink at the bar. when we got to the bar i popped the hood and showed him the damper adjusters and through the wheel the adjustable height perches.
i ended up getting a free double shot vodka cranberry that night. it was like 14 bucks too.
seriously dude you will not regret them. the SS's are stiffer but that is mostly due to the springs made to cover up chitty damper characteristics. its not the springs that have to do the work. its the dampers.
in a car with proper dampers you run ridiculously soft spring rates.
the robispec supra is setup with like 11F and 8 or 9 R spring rates. thats a bit stiffer then stock and the car handles and amazingly fast.
ITS ALL IN THE DAMPER!!! for the price you cant beat stance.

i have the GR+. i think thats the only ones you can get for the jza80/jzz30. the other very good option is the stance SSD. SSD=special setting damper. mostly a track damper setup that is custom valved to your car. you can provide your own corner weight number when they are being developed. they are also aluminum shock bodies...means less unsprung weight...also a good thing and they dont corroded if you drive your car in the winter on coilovers.
the SSD setup is 100 more per corner. you have to specify what you use the car for and the type of tires you will use. tires are huge when designing dampers. stance recommends R-compound tires for optimum handling.
i just picked up some Pirelli Pzero Corsa R-compounds for cheap for next season. can beat 115 bucks for a pair of 255/35/18 that are brand new
another option is to have a set of GR+Pro 3 way adjustables custom made. they are available for the evo, rx7, s-chassis, and miata i think. not enough demand for the supra though. i wonder why. most supra owners give the car a bad name by throwing huge turbos and almost no suspension work. making them straight line cars...at best. huge turbo+supra=not fun track car
