Default Help with chossing the right lowering springs or coilovers for my sc300

Hey I just got an 1992 SC300 and I was wondering what kind of springs or coilovers you guys recommend? Im looking for some comfortable ones not too stiff.

this will most likely get moved but ill answer anyway!

I have the Tein SS's on my SC and it rides great, doesnt go as low as i would like but for rolling on 19's it still smooth with room for ajustment!

If you want to go lower i here that Stance is the way to go!

Just my 2 cents!

i have stance and they are awesome.

before we go any deeper with this conversation and discuss different spring setups and all the pros and cons...one question?

what are your goals for the car? i know over time they may change a bit but what do you want to do with your car. daily vehicular transport? drift car? ***** out fast straight line car? track car?

btw if its a track car doesnt mean the suspension has to be stiff as all hell.

i really wanna know what you want to accomplish with this car? if youre not sure thats fine too.

stance makes springs? lol.

i ahve coilovers. they are the Stance GR+ for the JZA80 mk4 supra. there is no stance application for the jzz30 soarer/sc300. the suspension is identical though.

if your looking for comfort and not super handling, a strut and spring combo will be a better choice than coilovers.

you will want tein CS then.

i have stance on my car and they ride pretty rough for most sc300 users here because they are stiff. perfect for me but i do however wish they were stiffer.

i think you should get tein cs, get the new version tho, i have the new version mono-tube tein CS and it's GREAT. If you want stiff, you can adjust it and it would give you the stiffness you probably like, but if you want soft... oh boy is it soft I have 2 settings, one for men, and one for the ladies.

I am looking for comfort and performance, not just looks. I rather have performance over looks any day.

Oh and my final goal for the car is to have it 2JZ-GTE powered

So what do you guys think? what kind of suspension system should I get?

Im currently Riding on a set of D2s 14k in front, 11.5k in the rear. The ride imo is too soft for me but makes a huge difference compared to stock. Also the adjustable pre-load can change the stiffness of the springs to fit your wants.
