Well I got a buddy managing a jiffy lube and he called a guy and said like 250 I think so ill do that plus the alignment for 75 I think it was... Still sucks to have to pay for more money for labor than anything...but am an IT guy, anytime I try a DIY I say to myself "this is why im in IT"...
etc...
JUST DO IT.
BTW, I Busted knuckles and had many injuries. Now I'm lazy, I just take it to the shop

If you are looking for a cost effective install Pepboys used to charge $50 for each front and listed Mitchell labor hours for the rear. This was for strut R&R which includes changing springs so it should be the same cost for just spring install.
EDIT: Alignment is extra.

The problem was you were not using the correct tool to loosen/remove that bolt. You shouldn't use a ratchet to loosen the bolt/nut as that can damage the ratchet. You need to use a beaker bar. A breaker bar would also have a longer shaft handle which would give you more leverage and make loosening the bolt much easier.

try Performance Driven by the airport. You may want to try Modified Auto Design also.
