Monroe Brake Pads
Is Monroe a reputable company?
Slickdeals.net/Amazon has a sale on them for their ceramic pads.
http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=967341
Are our pads ceramics(The TSIB pads)?
I will be using the pads for normal street driving and occasional moderate canyon driving.
Any input regarding Monroe or brake pads will help.
BTW, one friend told me to resurface the rotors, bleed the brake fluid, and resurface the rotors when doing the first brake pad change. A different friend told me I wouldn't need to resurface the rotors but, should bleed the brake fluid and rather buy new rotors for my next pad change because they are cheap and it's not worth resurfacing them...which one should I listen to?
TIA,
ByoungWoo

Measure the rotors to be sure they meet minimum thickness. If they do not, replace them. If they do, don't waste them by turning them. Install new pads, bed them in, and call it a day.
Monroe has been around for many years. They are not normally associated with high performance, and unless they are touting these pads as a high performance item, I would expect they are intended for the average driver. You may, or may not be happy with their performance in your car. Surely they will stop the car, but their fade resistance is unknown, and they may feel very different.
