Can the rear sway bar for the IS 250 AWD be put on a 350? I want to get the rear sway bar but don't really care for the front one

Also, is the chassis brace worth it?

Thanks

There is the old F Sport Kit for the AWD that just contained the rear bar. The current Kit contains the front and rear bar. The old kit utilized the same rear bar (19mm) as the two bar set for the RWD models. And yes, the old AWD bar will fit a RWD car just fine, I'm running one on my IS-F. See the chart I have attached that I compiled that contains the ODs of the various bars. From all that I have read, the chassis brace is not worth doing.

Do you have both wheels off the ground when you're trying to hook them up?

Jack the suspension on one side or the other to raise/lower the swaybar so you can connect the end links. Be sure you're on the same hole on both ends.

You have to have the wheels on the ground. When its off the ground the suspension dosent line up.

Sorry, but the end link its on its own at this time.

should i attach it to the sway bar and tighten up the stabilizer brackets?

Also i dont think i will have enough room to work on my car when its on the ground since im slammed.

Hogwash. If the suspension is at full droop the swaybar bolts up like butter. Something's certainly odd about this particular install but it's not rocket science to get it lined up and bolted together.

Thanks for all the help. I was able to line up the end link to the holes using a hammer after several attempts.

Default Factory Installed Sway Bars - SO FAR VERY GOOD

I recently had the F-Sport Sway Bars installed by my Lexus dealer for the front and rear. You can haggle about the parts and labor prices and get the total cost down a little. So far I have not had any technical problems reported by others with sway bar installations.

I must say, even with the extra cost I incurred by having the sway bars professionally installed, they are well worth it. Although the IS 350 is a great vehicle, I was not in love with it. But with the sway bars and other modifications I have been making, I am really starting to enjoy this car! I can now take tight turns and the IS drops down into it and hugs the road, like my Corvette used to do.

Even though the air intake mods only add 5% more horsepower, the car feels stronger, which it needs given the lack of low-end torque.
