Official F-sport Sway Bar Thread!

Thank for the follow up MikeFig82, and providing the additional information. Appreciate your time and doing so. Thought perhaps that the bushings included with the F Sport rear sway bar was just a stiffer durometer rubber bushing, and that the Polyurethane bushing would be more durable over time. I've used the Energy Suspension graphite impregnated polyurethane bushings (non-greasable), in different applications without fitment issue. I assume the Energy Suspension would also have no fitment issue with the F Sport bar application.
Again, thanks for the follow up!

Understood. Fitment of aftermarket / Energy Suspension bushings was a concern. Either I will have to test fit the Energy Suspension bushings, or just install the F Sport rear sway bar with bushings that accompany it.

Can anyone with the 2IS AWD F-Sport Sway Bars installed comment on the handling differences versus stock? Are we talking night and day in a more planted feel when cornering around 35-40 mph? I would like to corner without being pulled to the side of my seat. The body roll on my 2IS AWD has gotten worse when I got less sporty Pirelli all-season tires; it made the ride better for daily driving and my back appreciates it, however.

personally, I find the f sport front and rear sway bars or something equivalent like hotchkis or Cusco, to be night and day difference compared to stock. It feels safer, more fun to drive, and imho more comfortable because there is much less body roll, especially noticeable when going like 75-80mph on a mildly obtuse freeway angle.

As you can see in the post's. It's a night and day difference in handling. The seats suck on the 2IS suck you'll still slide all over the place. AWD owner here I have the 19mm rear sway with the front AWD F sport bar.
The standard kit is now Front sway bar 28.6mm
rear is 17mm with the OEM style bend.

I'm looking to replace my F sport 19mm straight bar. To a 17mm design found on the new AWD kit. I doubt I'd ever get lucky on finding one by itself.

Left is ISF 17mm right is OEM F-Sport 17mm. Notice the direction of the curves for each bar.

2013FSport,, thank you for posting photo of OEM / F Sport 17mm and ISF 19mm rear sway bars, which showi side by side comparison.
Interesting to see the bends in each and how manufacturing sway bar with certain bends in a certain direction, might affect a vehicle's handling. Are the end links OEM or aftermarket (MOOG problem solver etc.)?

If the car is at ride height and the bar is parallel to the ground that is correct for maximum spring rate transfer from suspension to chassis.
If the car is lowered, the end links need shortened to keep the bar level so the angle from the bar mount to the end links are parallel to the ground.
As for the shape between the two, that's to accommodate the spare with a hole in the floor for depth. Again, the shape matters little.
Where people make mistakes is raising/lowering the rideheight and not adjusting the end link for max torque transfer.
That said, bar diameter does not 100% equate to spring rate. The same bar can produce different rates based upon the tempering process of the spring. Adding to that, a hollow bar can have more torsioznal surface area than a solid bar, thus be lighter and have a higher spring rate. Let me do the math on this to prove it....
Last little bit. All end links are OEM parts...

Thanks 2013FSport. I thought the bends were perhaps to accommodate vehicle fitment however, unsure if having bar bent at specific points may have some impact on the vehicle's handling as well. Appreciate you confirming end links pictured are OEM. I had MOOG installed, then considered replacing with OEM

Tossed the rear bar in, in less than an hour. Car has nearly 100k on it now and the rear links are firm enough to allow the nut to be removed and installed without the aid of allen driver.
Because it shipped with poly bushings I applied Energy Suspension Formula 5 synthetic silicone grease. Hopefully I never hear a noise from the bar.
FWIW: I have nothing good to say about the automated humanless RMA system used by lexus parts now .com with the alias Auto Parts Prime Inc... if you call the 800 # you're sent a 20min goose chase asking if over 50, press1, if you own a car press 1, if want cheap satellite service, press 1, the list continues forever, only to find they have nothing to do with the company you called and give you another number to call that does the same BS....
Bottom line is no response to phone. No response to email, rma support, no response to online chat. I will never do business there again. All good until you need support. So, don't say I didn't warn you!
/rant....
So, still waiting for front bushings for front bar install.
IS-F 17 mm and F-Sport straight 19 mm rear anti-sways bars.
PS - when you fit the bushings to the bar, install so the opening is to the rear of the car. Maybe it will minimize the grease being washed out.

I just got my new Front and rear kit and am going to install it today but I was wondering if anyone had any insight into getting the Figs sway bar endlinks vs the stock ones.
Anyone have any first hand knowledge if there is a noticeable difference in them?
I ended up getting the Figs bushings as I didn't realize the kit came with new factory ones.

I need some front Poly bushings as it seems I'm not getting support from the place I ordered it from. See above email with rant...
