For a 250 I'd strongly suggest getting both bars

The F-sport setup should provide less understeer compared to the hotchkis setup based on the listed sizes of both (which is preferable)

So which would give a more neutral feel on a 250.

From those that have tried them on their 250, FSport Rear and stock Front, or both FSport Front and Rear?

do you lift the car just like you are changing a tire, on the jack?
or do you raise it, then put jack stands on the lower control arm to relieve some streess?

No need to relieve stress. Just lift car with jack on the differential, secure with jackstands.. and remove the bar.

buddy,

look at the post you quoted of mine. Lift the differential, then secure jack points.

Juice

I answered your PM. Again, I would recommend using ramps, not jacks or jack stands.

Well tanks to this thread, Lowrideaz, and kayotik I installed my Rear sway bar. took me about 30 seconds to get in the car and drive it. LOL
there is no doubt that the rear sway bar makes a difference. the car is definitely tighter and it makes steering easier in 90 degree turns and slow-speed tight turns. I havent driven the car over 50 yet with them. Body roll is much less.
I have been driving super agressive the past week just to be able to tell if there is a difference when installing this thing and there is.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that i have wider tires than stock, and also have eibach springs.
maybe on a stock car you couldnt tell much of a difference.

For a complete set (front/rear) for the IS250, are the Hotchkis or F-Sport better?

F-sport, IMHO, since the rear bars are the same size but the hotckis front is larger (which would suggest the hotckis set leaves more understeer in the car)

What size is the F-Sport front? Also, since the Hotchki's is adjustable, couldn't I just make the front "medium stiff" and the rear "full stiff"?

the front bar is not adjustable

Hotckis is 32mm front, 19mm rear

F-sport is 28.6 front and 19mm rear

On a 350 the F-sport bars are 6.3% stiffer front and 151% stiffer rear. (compared to stock)

On a 350 the Hotckis bars are 83% stiffer front and either 70% or 140% stiffer rear, depending on setting. (compared to stock)

Hence, the F-sport bars offer significantly less understeer.

Understeer'd be even worse on a 250 with hotckis as those same size F-sport bars are a 46.6 stiffness increase in the front and a 42.8% stiffness increase in the rear.

I just want to report that the F rear sway bar bent and twisted one of my stock endlinks. Maybe some of you might want to take a look to see if your's are okay.

Couldn't I just make the rear full stiff to counter the front's 32mm bar? I would think they would've engineered it correctly to make an awesome product....

Full stiff on the hotchkis rear bar is still less stiff than the F-sport rear bar.
