caliper extenders?
Does anyone know of someone making caliper extenders for gs400's? So we can utilize stock calipers, but use larger rotors. Maybe Supra rotors or even larger? I bought a TT set-up, but my wheels didn't clear the caliper. I didn't want to use spacers because my 20's already meet my fenders. Anyone have an alternative without spending 2K on a BBK?

Can anyone out there make these brackets? I know it's not going to provide the optimal braking performance, but it would be a cheap alternative to a BBK and give us slightly enhanced braking and the better looks of larger rotors.

Maybe in the future, but not right now. The market for modding cars has gone signigicantly downhill for the moment due to the economic nosedive. Most people have far less disposable income left over to mod their cars. For example at SEMA this year, it was pretty weak compared to the previous years. Less companies are developing new parts right now. Just give it some time and someone MIGHT make something like that in the future.

Look in the brake/suspension forum in the SC300 section. A bracket was made to fit LS400 calipers with IS-F rotors. The concepts are all the same. The brackets are no different then the ones made by AP Racing, Brembo, Stoptech, etc. The ones in the SC forum is just a test fit, Obviously its not the final product

You'd basically have to invent these for the GS application.
You'll also need to find an off the shelf brake rotor that is larger,
has the correct center bore and bolt pattern, and has the correct
"offset" - if the friction surface is located differently along the vertical
axis the caliper won't align properly with it.
You'll also have to measure, design, and machine the caliper brackets.
Just extending the stock brackets out would be a challenge due to the
way the stock caliper bracket bolts to the hub.
You're not increasing pad size or friction surface area so the benefits
would be only cosmetic. In fact, it would change the brake torque
characteristics, perhaps not for the better.
You'd be better off using Supra rotors & calipers and getting wheels
that fit properly.
