stances are not 14/10. they are 18/12.

i wouldnt suggest increasing the spring rates more the +/-2K. after that you have to get the dampers revalved.

its not about how stiff the spring is. its all about the damper. the ROBISPEC mk4 supra is running a stupid soft 12/8.

generally stiff springs are used to cover up crappy damper characteristics. most suspension engineers and people i talk to say to use the softest springs and workyour way up.

i heard from a few people that stances are based on megans but i think the similarities end in the dimensions of the shocks. the valving is completely different. low speed damping on the stances is excellent. high speed damping is something to bea bitmore desired but that can be solved by buying a set of Stance SSD, special setting damper. they are custom valved for each customer and only cost 100/corner more then any other stance coilover. they are also aluminum bodies instead of steel. thus less unsprung weight and better suspension response. i will track my car next season and see how my current stances hold up. i might end up switching to some SSD's.

to the OP. i dont really get you. you can be slammed and still have a soft spring and a decent ride. if you are going to be slammed and on stiffest springs you can find you might as well save yourself some money and put solid steel rods instead of suspension. that way you will never rub

I'm that low, on 19s. The coilovers can go a few inches lower.
That is a sweet SC!

yea, its all in the dampers. the drift spec s15 on that dsport dvd you have is rated only at like 9/7kg. also keep in mind that the kw/robispec suspension being developed on supraforums is only rated at 12/9kg. all in the damper tuning to accomodate the spring. much of the manufacturers can claim that spring rate can be made to whatever you want, but you also gotta ask if they are building/valving the dampers to suit those rates. much of the manufacturers out there are just using their dampers that were designed for 14/10 to.

there's a reason why ohlins, motons, aragosta, etc cost so much and those are only for the dampers; no springs.

Ksports are REALLY REALLY good coilovers if you really wanna slam your car to the max

yea yea they are not as great as OTHER brands.. but these coilovers will slam your car just dont race them and they are nice for daily driving.. if you do track these, then they run the risk of being blown =\

Megan's for sure...theyre a fully threaded body and are full height adjustable. My fenders could lay on my tires if I wanted them to.

i know that megans can lay frame but the ride is really soft from what i saw when i drove one. the soft ride might cause the car to hit the top of the fender more often.

i been looking more into stance and it looks like i should be able to get 20k/14k springs that should work well with the struts still. price will be really good too.
