So just got finished upgrading to the LS400 calipers, did all of the steps, bleed the lines TWICE! but I still get the mushy pedal feeling? Did a road test(not very smart) and couldnt come to a stop whatsoever, had to use E-brake. And when Im pumping the brakes to bleed the engine idles dips to the point where it might stall.

P.S. did not upgrade brake lines still using the SC

HELP NEEDED ASAP!!!

Ive bleed it several times already. That was the first thing I checked and did it over again but Im still getting the mushy pedal feeling all the way to the floor.

did you get new pads and rotors? Maybe they are not broken in yet..You have to correctly bed the brakes before you can drive normal..

yup did all that bedding the brakes and stuff (or tried to)but the thing is.... im not getting any pedal response! its just MUSH!!!! gonna go try and bleed the brakes again. Ive bleed the brakes with the motor running, Im I to bleed the brakes without the motor running?

Oopps, looks like thats the problem..The motor is NOT suppose to run when you bleed the brakes...

did you bleed ALL the brakes in ORDER??? start from the wheel farthest away from the booster... then soon so forth....

better stock up on some fluid...

Thanks One Hot... Hopefully thats the case, im going to go try right now with the motor off.

JDMparts No did not bleed in order from farthest but I dont think that is what is causing the problem. I do however plan to do so in a couple of days when the brakes get situated

according to a senior honda technician and toyota technician... i have been told.... as jhot said the car shouldnt be running...

and brakes should be bleed via hand held/ or machine pump from the farthest away wheel....pumping the brakes can cause the bubbles just to move rather than dissipate..

either way do what you want....but i'm not a professional....thats why i ask professionals...

I tried bleeding the brakes with the car off for about 5 times each side and it still has the mushy feeling. Could have the calibers be bad?

The pedal feel is not even mush, its more like free play.

Just notice brake fluid is leaking, on the rim and all over the fender lining. We tried putting a washer didn't work, are you suppose to have washers when you screw in the lines? Because we tried putting 2 doesn't but it made the pedal feel like a civic's stock clutch. 1 washer its still mushy. Are you suppose to not have any washers when installing the lines?

Those seem to not line up correctly. The first picture the little hole does not line up with the caliber..

You MUST bleed the brakes in EXACT order...its not an "option". If you dont, you are just wasting your time and you will still have a Tremendous air bubble(s) in your lines no matter how many times you try.

We're located in SGV i've read that some people dont even bleed their lines and they still have decent braking power. We'll try that once my brother gets back with some fluid.. the pictures ones circle in red are they suppose to connected because we tried and it doesnt reach..

update

We bleeded each corner so many times its rediculous. We bleeded each corner and no air what so ever. The only thing we're thinking of now is the calibers.. Everything is bolted on tight etc.
