The Pro-Kits are progressively wound which makes them a dual rate spring. It's not supposed to be an aggressive lowering spring. The final spring rate is approximately 20% firmer than stock. You may want to look into adding aftermarket sway bars to your suspension set up. The sway bars would greatly decrease the body roll effect that your experiencing.

Going 50-70mph on a curve cause the car to lean too much. Couldn't there be a variable rate springs? cost too much? what I mean is, provide less stiffness at the top 5 percent of the spring and then increasingly make it stiffer towards the center. Just an idea. I'm a noob.

Thanks. I'll look into the sway bars - but it sure leans quite a bit. Didn't know that the springs were progressive.

Question for the Eibach man:

Pro kit part number 8255.140 seems to fit the 98-00 GS400 AND the 01-05 GS430. The former is lowered 1.0" front and rear with this kit; the latter 1.2" front and rear. Why the difference?

The obvious answer would be that the GS430 is slightly heavier than the 400. There is no difference in the springs used between either one. I'll see if we have the corner weight information available.

If you wouldn't mind grabbing that info, I'm interested... IIRC there is a VERY minimal difference between the 400 and the 430--no where near enough to drop the whole car 1/4" more.

Thanks!

Default nice...

I ran eibachs on my 99 altima and loved them.
I'm torn now if I want eibach springs and swabars for the 03 GS430 or Megan Racing.
Its quickly approaching 300kmiles so the control arm bushings are shot... if I gotta loose the car for a day and get an alignment... might as well upgrade while I'm at it.
