m in the market for new coils, Im seriously considering getting the Zeal funtion X or if i feel rich enough the KW Variant 3 , mainly because i thought and read that they were the best.
Then i read this article:http://farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets6.html
The guy rebuilds and sells shocks for a living as well as participates in auto x events, so im gonna trust his judgement
he is basically saying blistein shocks are better than the anything made out of japan as well as some linear coils. He doesnt mention zeal (could be becuase he doesnt have experience)
so is it true that the progressive blistein made F-sport shocks (non adjustables) are better than the zeal function Xs or KW variant 3 coils? Ive heard very very good things about KW and that was another option, but because i could probably get a better deal of zeal i might get those.
Id like to hear feedback from people. I know some people here have ZEAL and are very very satisfied, as are the peeps wtih KW's, I wanna how good the F sport ones are compared to those; better, worse, the same?
Im not tracking my car, but i would like a more planted feel than what my TEIN springs can provide. Also just to add, im recieving my JUN rear sways tomorow,

I <3 Ohlins, but when i e-mailed them they said they weren't going to make anything for the IS b/c of the long warranty.
i have yet to tell him there is a Ohlins Fortuner set-up available in japan for the IS.
KW makes anything for our car? last i checked they snubbed us [so far].

its not difficult, but i wanna know if the Fsport shocks w/ a good pair of springs is better than JIC ZEAL TEIN and the rest?
Also does F sport shocks sit lower than the OEM ones? If i change just my shocks and leave my tein springs, will the car sit a bit lower that it does now?
EDIT: NVM, will sit at the same height

If F sport is better ill go with that although its unadjustable hight wise, if not ill get one of the other choices

I had Eibach, Zeals, and now on Megan.
the Zeals handled like a dream, a bit rough for me at first, but very responsive. Grew on me in a week. Wish i never sold them. damping adjustment 1-6
now I'm on Megans. For the price they are worth it. Ride quality is very suprising. I never knew coils could ride so smooth and nice. Damping adjustment up to 32.
if your looking for ride comfort I'd go with Megans. I have not adjusted the damping to max yet. with 16-20 it will ride near the Prokit but somewhat sportier.... im set at 25 and 27r. its nice handles well, and has a nice sporty feel/ just imo
everyone has their own opinons. I cannot comment on the other brands, since i have no experience with them. good luck.
I dont track my car. nor drive too aggressively

I have owned
Eyebach, Tien CS, Tien SS, JIC, and Zeal.
If you want the stiffest setup, you can go custom JIC or Zeal.
Just figure out, how much you want to change the driving dynamics of your car.
If you want something pre-fabbed and not so stiff, but stiff enough get JIC, if you would like something more stiff get Zeal.
Robi-spec KW would be nice, if you can afford it.
Oh and p.s., you shouldn't consider your car, Robi'd until he actually sits and works on it
