For the install...Does it matter if the suspension is loaded or not? Do the wheels have to be hanging, or can it be done on ramps?

When I installed them on my IS300, I'm pretty sure we found it to be much easier with NO LOAD on the wheels....

It's much easier if you do the install when there is no load on the wheels, otherwise there can be a good amount of tension on the nuts and bolts if the car is raised unevenly.

you can place a floor jack under the rear pumpkin and that will allow you to raise the whole rear-end, the front tends to be a little trickier.

^^^^Not to start an argument here. But, I would never get under my car if it was supported by any kind of jack or jacks. You just never know. As far as changing my rear bar while on ramps. Everything came off and went on perfectly. There was a leverage issue with reaching & loosening the top 17mm bolts, but that had nothing to do with the ramps. The F-Sport instructions are silent on raising the car.

My buddy is a mechanic, so we used a lift. As for getting under the car while on jacks, that freaks me out too. You wont find me under there. Some are more trusting than others, which is fine.

I was just under an IS-F the other day...

It was raised 18 inches off the ground. On 4 beefy Jackstands of course...

Never blinked an eye...

Good luck. You won't be disappointed! I got the first bar in no prob. The rear bar though I ended up giving up on and taking the car to my local Toyota dealership. I started loosening the nut on the passenger side stabilizer link and it moved a bit at first but then seized up and I couldn't budge it no matter how much PB Blaster I used. The dealer said they had to use a torch to get it to move.

My initial thoughts were that the steering wheel felt like it required more effort to turn, no major issues with bumps, the car feels very solid & secure in the turns and doesn't give you that fall-off-the-chair leaning feeling. Very nice indeed.
