F-sport Sway Bar Intall on an 09 is250! Just a bit Different
OK I took the 250 to my buddy with a LIFT to do this job. All expectations were a quick and easy install. The front went on with out a problem.
Front stock set-up:
Comparo picture of the two bars:
Front F-Sport Install:
I had to remove the ball joints and flip the left and right to get the set-up to work:
No for the rear. Apparently there was a change in 2009. The rear sway bar bushing is sandwiched between 2 aluminum plates. Not only is it sandwiched, it is perminantly glued in:
I had to cut out the rubber bushing and then grind out the leftovers.... I was not too happy about this.
Now the new bushing into the:

Installed:
The set-up works, I am definitely going to check to see if I can get the older bracket to bolt up. I think I would feel batter about it. There was no bracket listed on the parts order, or else I would have waited to pick it up.
I have not driven it much as it is raining here in So cal. Ill test it out this week. The suspension does feel stiffer if you will. Body roll is not completely eliminated.

The sways work great. deffinitely feel it in the turns. After some time spent driving it, i can tell that they are there lending a helping hand! =)
AS it turns out, there is a new kit for the 2009 models. I was not aware of this when I ordered my set. the company I purchased from is working with me right now on it. Ill let you know how it turns out.

I have these on my 08 IS350 and they eliminate some body roll but not all. I feel alot safer around corners with the F-sport sway bars than the stock ones. For those who have driven on the end of the 110 freeway towards Pasadena where it's really curvy, I can take the turns going around 100 mph without having the fear of body roll or loss of control. It's a great upgrade and I can't imagine driving this car without it again.
