Default i was bored today ...

I've been wanting to do this for some time now and finally decided to quit being lazy and actually get it started ...

about a year ago I installed the LS calipers and rotors and I've been happy with them, and then a few months back I purchased a set of IS350 calipers and rotors ... and today I decided to go ahead and try to get them on ...

here is a pic of the IS350 caliper and rotor on the left side ...

and this is from the back side ... as you can see the top bolt lines up perfectly, its just the bottom one that needs some attention ...

a close up of the bottom bolt ...

I have to take the spindle, caliper, and rotor to my buddy's shop this weekend to get the bracket done and I will keep everyone updated on the progress ... now I know a few of you SC and MKIV guys wouldn't mind running aluminum monoblock calipers and some nice vented rotors ... so I will keep you guys in mind and see if my buddy could make some extra brackets

thanks for looking

oh wow, nice upgrade. I have a hunch that the IS350 calipers are stronger than the LS400 upgrade everyone is used to doing?

shanec: I got really lucky and picked up my set for less that $500 ... go to the IS classifieds and hopefully you will get lucky like I did.

Vincent: i have the same hunch, they're lighter and the rotor is bigger and ... now i know that size alone doesn't make a braking system superior, but the IS350 setup seems a lot better to me. Once I get it on the road and can test it, I will let you know for sure.

I hate caliper paint colors so I decided to polish the IS350 calipers, I will post pics later on today.

Just use a zip tie instead of that bottom bolt and you should be good to go

Just get the bracket modified to bolt it up correctly and also are you using steel braided brake lines??? If not then you should.... it will make a world of a difference with pedal feel....
