on the LS i did spray them with a clear coat but it just chipped right off ... on the IS i'm not spraying anything on them

if they start looking dull (which they will) just use some metal polish and they'll be back to shiny

It's a pain to keep on polishing them once in a while. I would find someone to anodize them clear.

its calipers so they are going to get dirty no matter what ... and if you're going to get them anodized you might as well get them chromed ... and they're still going to get dirty and you're still going to have to keep them clean

its going to be inevitable ... if you polish or chrome them ... you are going to have to take a little extra time to clean them when washing your car or whatever ... comes with the territory

Here ya go.

All brakes get dirty, but surprisingly these clean off rather quickly with aluminum wheel cleaner. You would still need to polish them regularly if you wanted to maintain this level of bling.

Did this for my bud JAWNTHEN back in 2005: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...-upgrades.html

At least you wouldn't have to keep on polishing them if they're left without a protective barrier

Mine are painted black right now, but I may get them chromed or something for the added bling bling

JAWNTHEN puts a ton of miles on his car, so the upkeep is difficult. Next time I see him, I'll have to shoot a pic to see how much the aluminum has dulled out.

Hey Z

I just did the install though I have polished a lot of aluminum parts before.

JAWNTHEN took these to Wheel Tech to get polished.
