You can also take out the shock/spring assembly and move the hub up and down to make sure it's not the UCA and LCA bushings.

I have the same thing which started about 2 weeks ago. My coilovers were replaced 2 years ago and upgrade the control arm bushings to Daizen. Have you pinpointed what was causing the cricket noises GS4?

I changed the lower ball joints and lower control arm no. 2 and it still makes noise. The only thing left is the top bushing of the struts and the top hat that I need to check out.
