I am repalceing my lower and upper control arm bushings tomorrow... I was surprised the rear bushing did not look as bad as I thought it would. It has some cracking like the first post in this thread, but it seems they the bushing is all in tact...

The uppers control arm bushings may be a different story. I have some pictures below of the upper (and lower). Can you tell me if the upper bushings should look like this? Notice the arrows (labeled 1 & 2) showing the gap between the bushing and arm. Is this normal??

Sorry for the crappy photos.. They are from a cell phone and flashlight..

Floorboard THUMP = Engine Mounts

Had all my mounts replaced yesterday the mechanic said the left was in two pieces the right had cracked and dropped all its dampening fluid the rear/trans was separating because the front two had failed.

So as the engine weight shifted under braking the engine trans flopped around causing the top of the trans to SLAP/THUMP the tunnel.

But beware, you may feel more of the road just because the bushings are hard polyurethane. I wanted the TRDs, but I can't wait that long, and even then I'm not sure if they'll fit.
The Daizen front control arm bushing set is on national backorder from Sewel
Is there another CL Vendor we can get these from?
