Back to real time, I'm going to buy replacement springs. I'm cheap, but not so cheap to try to cut or torch the coils. I probably would keep the OEM shocks/struts. I'm only looking for an inch of drop, so I think I'll be ok.

doesnt L-Tuned (made by Eibach IIRC) drop by about an inch? There's a thread called the ultimate something reference for spring/shock/coilover/wheel w/ pics, check out that thread.

Guys: thanks for the leads. I checked out the classifieds and I just missed a set of springs. Also, I changed my search and found a lot of info. I was searching on "coils" instead of "springs". The ultimate thread is great. It's really helped me understand what I need. Mods did a great job on that one!

Do you feel a difference on the street if you have a shocks/springs/strut bars (front & rear) setup as opposed to a coilovers'/strut bars (front & rear) setup? Also, what are the pros and cons of each setup??

I have a set of Tannabe NF210's and KYB GR2's available if you're interested, I haven't posted a classified ad yet because I've been lazy. PM me if you're interested. They have less than 1000 miles on them. You'll get a moderate drop without sacrificing ride quality.

well how it feels depends on the springrates..
If you have the money buy coilovers, height ajustable and damper ajustable

DJ SPAWN: Since this my first modification on the LEXUS, I want to start off with new parts for aesthetic reasons. Nothing personal, but thanks anyway!!

G2LOW: I like the options of height and damper adjustability simply for pragmatic reasons; I'M SOLD! I'd like to buy the TEIN Type SS Coilovers for the '98GS4 but their being sold w/o Pillowball Upper Mounts. For as long as own "the bubble", will I need these anytime in Life?

well the SS are good but their are other coilovers that are better.
Only reason I bought coilovers was to go lower than springs would get me. I wish i could find springs that would tuck some tire.. because honestly im looking to go low and keep it their, i dont really need ajustability

I was thinking of just getting new springs, which would give me the more stock like ride?
or has anyone seen these before?

This is good feedback, but I got a question? I'd like to buy the TEIN Type SS Coilovers for the '98GS4, but their being sold w/o Pillowball Upper Mounts. For as long as own "the bubble", will I need these anytime in Life?

don't chop/torch it... buy a set of used springs. you'll be happy in the long run
