Inexpensive drop?
Guys: I need to drop my '01 gs430 by about 1". I put on some 06 18" wheels with 225/40 tires. I do not want to spend a lot of $$, so I thought I'd ask here for advice? Thanks, Mark

Guys,
I hate to admit it, but back in the mid 80s, I was the kid with access to an acetylene torch. I lowered a few coil and leaf spring trucks back then. Hot look was torched springs and fake gold BBS rims.
Back to real time, I'm going to buy replacement springs. I'm cheap, but not so cheap to try to cut or torch the coils. I probably would keep the OEM shocks/struts. I'm only looking for an inch of drop, so I think I'll be ok.

^^^^ Yes...cost of springs...cost of shocks (optional)....cost of shipping...cost of installation...and cost of car alignment.....they will add up to big $$$
If you can do the installation yourself or with some buddies...that will really help on the cost factor.
