I just installed my IS-F BBK and my Volks, but now I am worried about getting a flat tire. I know my spare will NOT fit over the front wheels. Anyone have a solution to this issue, besides crossing my fingers that I don't get a flat? I asked Sewell if they know if an IS-F spare will fit, and I received no reply. Anyone else have a suggestion?
buy a cheapo, generic spacer and keep it in ur trunk. definately not something u want to use for a long drive, but will do until you can drive to a tire shop.
Unfortunately a spacer won't fix my problem. It's the height of the caliper that is a problem, not the depth. And I'd prefer to handle it myself instead of having to wait for a tow truck.
The IS-F spare is different (larger). It will obviously clear the IS-F brakes - so your solution is to get an IS-F spare. The question is whether it will fit properly in your trunk well.
Luckily I have a local Club Lexus member that has an IS-F. Looks like he's going to help me out and let me test fit his spare. I will keep everyone posted on the results.
Hey Guys. I'm looking into this for you as we speak. I'll let you know if there are any fitment issues for the IS-F spare on the IS250/350 with the BBK as soon as I know something. I should know something on Thursday. If the spare fits, I'll let you guys know and you can shoot me an email at lexusparts@sewell.com to get pricing and place your order (if you decide you want it)
