082,
Your question about your control arms...... Yes, yours are shot. When you install those you are supposed to leave the main bolt loose till you get the vehicle load back on it. If you tighten it with the vehicle off the ground, the rubber bushing will be captured in that position. Then when you lower the car the rubber bush will be twisted beyond it max range and will eventually tear free from the center metal portion. The bush is then loose and, of course, ruined. Do the final torque with the wheels down. I hope this is clear and please excuse me if I am talking down.
My 2 cents worth,
John

082,
That would be in your original post of this question:"I noticed after I removed the rear hub assembly, I could swing the upper control arm up and down very easily with no resistance. (This is just with the ball joint disconnected...) I just thought it was pretty loose. Just thought I would mention that as well."
And again: If you can swing it up and down easily....its shot! Hope that doesn't upset you, now. Speaking truth to power has its risks, I guess.
Sincerely,
John

In addition to the mentioned parts above, you also might look at the drive shaft bushings as well. Since these are often overlooked, they actually can create unwanted vibrations slightly. If your current drive shaft bushings are cracked, you'll feel a slight smoother ride under acceleration with the new bushings. That's what I felt after I replaced them. Usually, the front bushing is bad.
