NF210s, KYB-GR2 and 18's, any with this combo? How does it ride?
Hello!!
I had a separate posting asking for suggestions to nail down what I was looking for as the best compromise for vehicle drop/appearance and ride comfort.
I've purchased the following items that will be installed hopefully in the next couple of weeks:
2004 GS300 with:
Tanabe NF210 springs
KYB-GR2 shocks
3rd Gen 18" wheels from 2008 GS430
Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum 245/40/18 tires
Ichiba Version 2 wheels spacers, 15mm front and 20 mm rear
Thanks for all the input I received from those here on the forum!!!!
I'll be sure to post pics when done.
The big question is: Do any of you have the NF210s with KYB-GR2 plus 18 inch wheels??
If so, would you take a couple minutes to post pics so I can see how it looks AND please give me your opinion as to what you like and dislike about it? Does it ride too harsh? What would you have done differently? Why?
Appreciate any insight you all may have and looking forward to pics!!!
Thanks,
Eworth

I have the exact same setup. NF210 + KYB G2 + 18" IS350 wheels.
Love the quality of the ride as it's equal or if not better than stock. It's might not be as low as some would've wanted. It's a nice drop imo.
Best of all, alignment all within spec.

That is a sweet ride!!! Looks great and most of all, you get handling with a comfortable ride. You nailed it!!!! Relieved also to hear there are no alignment issues.
How long after the install did you wait for the springs to settle before getting the alignment done or did you do that right away?

This is the same setup as you have plus daizen sway bars. Keep in mind this picture is the next day after I installed the springs and 5months later it has lowered another inch from spring sag. The ride is very smooth and the handling is 10times better and more responsive.
hope this helps....

James,
Now I can visualize what it will look like!!! Mine is the pearl white though. I like the look of the wheels.
The wheels get mounted this afternoon so I'll post a photo.
Still waiting for the wheels spacers, springs and shocks to arrive.
Another confirmation that the components we choose are spot on!!
Fantastic!!

looks good, even familiar ...somehow...
dont forget when your car says your doing 60 youre only doing 59 because that size tire is smaller than stock. 255s are the exact same as stock but since they are more rare than 245s they cost twice as much, at least that was my experience.
