Default Coilover & wheel/tire questions

Leaning towards coilovers for my '08 IS250 RWD. All my previous cars were modded with springs/shocks,so I've got a few questions. Hoping you guys can help.
Prefer Megan Street LP coilovers, but see that D2 Racing & K Sport are all about the same price. Is any one better than the other.
Best price I've seen for all is about $900 shipped. Anyone know where I can find any better pricing?
Want to go w/18X8 ET40 wheels all around. Thats the widest the wheel is made
Will run 225x40x18 in front. What size do I run in rear so it doesnt look stupid ?
Appreciate any help you guys can give. I'm new to the japanese market, so I'm still learning. Thanks again-----LJ

I would definitely go with a different coilover than what's mentioned here if you want a bit more quality and a better ride.

BC Racing coilovers are a step above whats mentioned here for just a bit more. Compared to Megans or D2's they have better valving, better internals, bigger shock bodies, locking lower rings and a higher construction quality. For the price BC Racing coilovers can't be beat.

If you have even more to spend you could go with KW's , which have a really smooth ride and good bump control.

Or you go go in the middle and get the HKS's, which are going to be firmer than the KW's , and the CS model is more tuned for comfrot than the Hipermax III's.

Fell free to PM us with any questions on these or for prices.

Teins tend to be harsher than most other coilovers.

I have TEIN CS ride quality is alright. But if u looking for a good drop rate TEIN CS isnt the one. But if u look for ride quality then TEIN CS would be a good one to consider. I regret getting TEIN CS tho i wish i can go lower!! Unless someone want to take TEIN CS off my hand so i can get something lower~!!!

Thanks for all the help guys. Main concern is the ride. Not looking to slam the car. Just looking to get a nice stance about 1-2" lower. was considering just doing Eibachs. Had them on my last car & was very satified
Thanks again for all your help-----LJ

Eibachs are a good way to go for maximum comfort as well.

Other than Eibachs, KW's would be the next up for comfort.

It really depends on what you are looking for in a suspension and how much you have to spend.
