Default My Ebay brake set up feedback

Ordered some brakes from brakemotive76 on ebay. Shipping was very fast and there was no issues along the way. Tracking was provided and even got them delivered on a Saturday. Packaged very nicely with no damage at all.
Fitment was good with pads and the rotors were pretty good. Only drawback I saw was that the stud holes were just a tad too big...other than that everything went perfect. Ceramics pads with the cross drilled and slotted rotors seem to be working good so far. I will update once they are completely bedded in and with more aggressive stopping is applied.
I stayed with the stock SC300 brakes so in the near future I can run the WELD drag package.

Have never been a fan of cross-drilling..... especially after having one crack severely enough to catch the side of the brake pad and lock up my right front wheel and damn near put me into a ditch. For me now, its slotted only, and I try to use only Rotora Rotors paired with Hawk HPS pads....best combo I've ever ran across in my opinion.

Looks like they are chamfered, that should help control cracking..

Hard track pads suck on the street, noisy and no cold torque, unsafe.

Sorry, I should have elaborated....they have a VERY high initial bite (great for late braking) zero fade, less brake dust then any "premium" pad I've used before (Bendix, Duralast Gold, etc) no squeaks, no warping (even after 2 years of use on my last car) wear was great and they are very gentle on the rotors.....only thing I ever noticed was a fant whirring sound during hard braking (like bringing her back down from 140-150mph to double digits in a hurry) I think thats just a characteristic of the slotted rotors and nothing to do with the pads.

The Hawk HPS pads are street/strip and certainly not a full on race pad (although Hawk offers them as well)....def daily driver friendly.

So far so good. It does take awhile for them seat in properly. They have become smoother and more quiet as the miles role on.
I will post back up in a few hundred more miles, but so far I am happy with them.

I've had good experience with Hawk HPS pads on street cars as well. Not nearly aggressive enough for real track use, but more than an upgrade from a regular street pad.

Love Hawk HPS, I should have stuck with those instead of switching to Axxis Ultimate's. I use Rotora Drilled/Slotted with these pads. Great bite, but TERRIBLE squeaking. I've paired all of these with Motul RBF600 Brake fluid. I like it.
