SC300 vs SC400 Brakes
I thought both cars have the same brakes.
Now I learn the '95 SC3 has 10.8" rotors in the front while the SC4 has 11.6" fronts. Are the calipers, pistons and pads also bigger? Do they stop the car better?
The Supra tt brake upgrade seems unlikly at this time.
So, would upgrading to 11.6" SC4 fronts (cross drilled rotors, semimetalic pads and calipers) be a noticeable improvement over the same setup with the SC3 hardware?
I don't figure it is worth upgrading the rears (which are also bigger).

When people do the Supra brake upgrade, do you all buy all new parts from Toyota, or do you get the stuff used at a yard or from some Supra owner that did a brake upgrade.
If so, what is the cost of the upgrade, both new and used?
I never really paid much attention to it before, now I think I might be up for it.
Thanks,
Keith

My supra TT brake upgrade is going to cost me 150 bucks. We have about 3-4 customers (including my boss) who have went to the Brembo F40 brake package on thier supras and I was lucky enough to get the brake upgrade for 150. Just go on stupid forums or check around and when you see someone talking about a brake upgrade email them and ask them if they want to sell thier old setup. Most supra owners aren't too cost concious about selling thier old stuff so you'll prolly get a good deal.

Good suggestion
Any SC400 owners who have done the Supra tt upgrade interested in selling their old calipers?
If so, e-mail me at jkagan@kaganmedical.com

How about hooking Lex, CUPETE, and I up with TT brakes from your customers? Tell you what, I'll take your bosses and give him 160$ just to make him feel better.
Seriously though, see if any of them want to sell their factory setups for $150.
We got dibbs

I'm gonna check around the graveyard and see what I can come up with. I might not be able to do 150 on other sets, but I can probably come up with a nice set for the 300-400 range from one of the graveyard supras out front or from the junkpile. I'll look today or tommorow and let you know.

I do indeed have a set of calipers and rotors. They are off my boss's supra and the rotors look to be in pretty decent shape, we where somewhat bored one day and wanted to put on the brembo kit. 300 plus shipping and I can send out the rotors and the calipers, I don't know what else will be necessary.

Well, the complete package will include:
1. Supra TT calipers
2. Supra TT rotors
3. Supra TT brake lines
4. Supra TT brake pads
I think that's all you need plus some time to install. By the way, what's the easiest way to unbolt the caliper? I've tried all sorts of WD40 and etc but I can't unbolt those damn things...
