yeah mine werent too bad either. one of them put up a fight last time, but i only had breaker bars and things, managed to get it going in the end but did a bit of damage to it unfortunately with a slip. So i havent messed with it again since! but it certainly shouldnt be that tight (i overtorqued the one accidentally when i first installed my suspension hence it was so tight. first time was fairly easy both sides)

PB Blaster is the shizzle, WAY better than WD-40 for this kind of thing, not even in the same ballpark. One other thing, you can buy a basic torch from Home Depot and get the bolt nice and hot, it will help to "loosen" things up if they are seized from being in there so long. I would never have got my crank pulley off if it wasn't for a torch.

Mine was a pain in the *** putting my springs in, i ended up using a torch to heat up the bolts and was easy after that. I got my car in the twin cities and they salt the roads pretty good. --MIC.

the wrench is a craftsman and i definately have right and left figured out, breaker bar was tried and tried with the impact socket trust me i put all of my 6' 200lbs into it and it twisted the 1/2 inch... i tried pretty much everything you guys are talking about and its the nut im doing all this too because the bolt is on the side being blocked by the sway bar so i just left it alone. im going into a 600 ft lb torque impact wrench and if that doesnt work im cutting it off with a torch ill let you guys know how it goes

300ftlbs from the craftsman impact is like 100ftlbs using manual labor Those guns aren't powerful at all. Gotta step it up to IR

yeah, try torch only if PB blaster doesn't work. heat it up and spray PB blaster and let that thing soak up in there.

You shouldn't have to cut that bolt off, I just meant to torch it to get it hot, not cut it off. In general you will get more torque from a pipe and muscle than a air gun will put out, just be careful the bolt doesn't break free and you hit the car.

P.s- One other idea, drive the car to a service shop, gas station whatever, and tell them you just need the bolt loosened up and they will probably give you a price of $15 or something then let them worry about how to get it loose. Once they break it free they just tighten it back up to normal spec, you drive home and take it back out to do your suspension.

HOORRAY!!!!! victory is mine my friends went to a discount hardware store and got an impact wrench that is rated to 600 ft lbs and it worked at setting 4 of 6. the first front setup was a learning curve but after that it took 2 hours for the other 3 spring shock sets. i will have pics coming soon. i blew it by bringing my camera for before pics but had a dead battery (i suck) well i love the espilier springs just like the last set i put on my 2.5 RS and i will really love them with my TTE lip and rims on it. thanks for the help
