Brake gurus....does this mean i have a stuck piston?
#16
in as much as i love good braking power, i dont want to upgrade to ls400 brakes or bbk for certain reasons.
I undestand the concept of rebuilding but most people via google use compressed air pressure to pop the piston out.
Skperformance, is this the same as depressing the brakes to pop the piston out? After removing the dust boot, i just depress the brakes and it pops the pistons out? since the GS has 2 pistons, do i do them at the same time?
I really would love to avoid disconnecting the brakeline if possible.
Please advise. also, how much was the kit at the dealer?
thanks

Hey tom steele , got pics of your RCA's ? Or any more info on your ones?
Swapping to an upgrade like my brakes works well also , just alot more added expense for parts .

Unless you have a shop you are not going to be able to use compressed air so you might as well use the brake pedal instead to pop them out.
You can do one at a time by blocking one piston with a peice of wood . Or do both at the same time ,one will pop out first , do that one then slide it all the way in and press the pedal again to do the other piston.
Your choice.
No need to dx the brake line but it will come with a new fitting as well for it in the kit from toyota .
