Default 20mm Wheel Spacers-- installation question

I have a 1992 SC300 5-spd with IS 17" wheels, and I want to get the wheels out where they belong-- especially in the rear. I just bought a set (for all four corners) of new AnS 20mm spacers that came with the longer studs. My question is how much work is involved to fit these. Do you have to pull the brake calipers and rotors F&R to get to the existing studs?

Any comments appreciated. I did a search here for any info, but did not find any fitment details.

front:

remove calipers, rotors, remove stock studs(take a small sledge and give it 1 or 2 good hits. they will pop right out), take the new stud and install it. the easiest way to install new studs is to use the stock open-ended lug nut to pull them into the spindle. reinstall everything as before.

rear:

remove calipers, rotors, emergency brake shoes, remove and install studs same way as front.

emergency brake shoe disassembly is covered in a thread right below yours.

good luck.

Doesn't longer studs decrease the strength of the studs?

I've always used the spacers that utilize the existing studs and simply bolt a new stud that is offset(it's difficult to explain sorry) because from my understanding longer studs break easily.

youre referring to bolt-on spacers.

the OP bought slip-on spacers.
