Cactusmole, that scrapping you hear is probably your heat sheild. Usually if one of the tabs are broken that could happen and you wouldn't notice it. I had it for 2 weeks and 3 shop visits later. I discovered it by accident. Don't know if rykwebb has heat sheild but it might be that simple.

Yeah that's the first thing I thought it was because that happened on my supra. When I took of the wheel and looked at it I didn't notice anywhere that it was touching the rotor.

i have this small squeal noise at one of my wheels when rolling (braking or not braking). turned out the small cap that holds the middle wheel nut is loose, spinning and making the noise. it was a quick fix by opening the wheel cap and make adjustments so that it stays tight. hope it helps with your diagnosis

is it a squealing/whining or humming ? how are your pads, are they aftermarket or stock lexus/toyota pads.

could be a seized piston and not returning fully into the caliper and draging the pad against the rotor. (rebuid kit)

check to see if it is the vibration v springs (wires)[><] that are connected to either side of the brake pads so that they dont squeel or hum. (use brake cleaner to clean brakes)

Stock pads, aftermarket rotos ( i know, i know)...it's a squealing sound, horribly loud. I asked my buddy at my wheel shop and he said the same thing v8soarer91, thanks for that info man, ill give it a shot.
