oem tt supra springs
about to get some oem tt supra spring for $35. im assuming that i would also need to swap out the oem sc 300 shocks and springs as well am i correct? different spring seating if i can remember from reading past threads. can someone help varify this for me please? if so i think im going to go with bilsteins. also, is it a 1" drop in front and 1.5" in the rear?
also another question, what are the minimum clearance distance between the rotor and inner rim in order to clear the tt supra brakes? i know you need atleast 17" rims. i have 17x7" rims with a + 45 offset. yeah i know, small but im broke so they will do for now.

Need supra shocks to fit the supra springs. have a look at www.tyrerack.com (advertiser on this forum) for shock/strut boot mounts $55.00
Yes you are correct the tapering of the spring is different to soarers.
About 1" front, 0.5" - 1" rear (much stiffer spring and shock rates).
+ 50 rings a bell, thats why the std tt wheels are staggered (7" or 8" front 8" or 9" rear cant remember atm)

you are correct...TT spring will only work with TT shocks, and SC to SC..remember too there is only a .5'' difference with the stock TT springs from the stock SC springs..So if you order lowering springs for a TT Supra, and they lower 1'', you will get approx. a 1.5'' drop on your sc.
your rims should fit fine..if you are going to stick with 17's though go with TT wheels, or the IS rims.

ok, so i've decided to go with bilsteins. one question though, do i have to use tt supra strut mounts as well or would the tt springs and shocks simply bolt right up? what i mean is that since the tt springs cannot perch on sc shocks, then does that apply to shock towers as well? or can they sit safely on the car with no modifications to the upper mounts?

I actually have a new set of TT KYB AGX struts and oem tt springs. Are these all the parts I will need to do this job or will I have to get TT dust boots/other components, or will I be able to use the boots and everything that is already off my SC300?
