Front brakes sticking :(

I had the driver's front caliper lock up on me a few months ago, so I got it rebuilt. A few weeks after that, the passenger front started locking up. It fixed itself somehow, so I left it alone. Now, the driver's front is locking up all the F'n time! It's killing my car!!!
I had a friend tell me the booster and/or the master could be going bad. Is this a common problem? And could either one of those going bad affect the front calipers in this way?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, John

I have no idea what parts were used to rebuild them. They were rebuilt at a local brake shop.
The rears seem fine, but to be honest, I don't really know.
Weather seems to change how they stick. More sticking when raining, maybe due to the pressure change?

I would agree with your friend. It sounds like your booster and/or cylinder is going out. I had the same problem and only the fronts would lock up. Do you have any vibrations at highway speeds?

I think I have the same problem. I have vibration that I cant get out. I am thinking its the left front caliper going bad. Is there a way that I can check and see for myself?

I think i have this problem too. The best way to know is take your car out on the highway for about 15 mins, then park it and feel the heat near the calipers. My driver side caliper was very hot,but passenger wasnt. And sometimes it feels like my wheel about to fall off when i'm on the highway,it feels like a train on some roads.
We can rebuild them for $7.00 each. Oreily has them very cheap,or the already rebuilt ones go for around $40.

The wheel doesn't spin when off the ground.
I know for sure they are sticking, just wanted to know if it was the caliper itself or another part of the brake system.
I haven't driven the car in about a week now, just because I don't wanna cause more harm to my baby

Most of the time it isn't the brake calipers fault...if the rubber inside the flexible brake lines from the chassis to the caliper start to break down, it can act like a one-way check valve and prevent fluid from returning to the BMC. Easy way to check is to wait untill you notice it sticking, park the car and crack the bleeder on that caliper quickly...if the line is holding pressure, you will get a quick squirt of fluid out of the bleeder.

I would definitely check the lines like gspec suggested. Brake fluid can swell rubber over long periods of time. While you are in there, also check to see that your caliper slides freely on the slider pins. I just had a binding caliper issue myself and it turned out the boot on one of the sliders was split and allowed moisture into the bracket causing the pin to rust solid. This didn't let the caliper center itself over the rotor. When I installed new pads, the misaligned caliper caused the rotor to bind against the outside pad when the wheel was tightened down. I replaced the caliper bracket and bought new pins. Brakes work perfectly now. Hope this helps.
btw...the pins don't have to rust solid to cause binding issues, if there are any "crunchy" spots the pads can still drag or bind intermittently.
