so, i installed mine just now on my '03 GS300.. with the engine cover off.. i bolted it down and noticed it only clears by several MM... should i worry about it touching?

I too thought you can install the bar w/o having to jack up the car. I saw a guy do it while all four wheels of the car were on the ground.

Just thinking about it..., if you raise the car up and then bolt it down, it'll give a pretensioned effect once the car is lowered. I'm just wondering why it would flex so much as to need one.

I guess I may get one of these...

Yes. Unfortunately for the 01+ GS300, you have to remove the engine cover. Not too sure about the older GS300's.

Try posting up in the 1GS section. This stb is from the 1GS...and luckily fits the 2GS.
