Default Spring vs. Rear Sway Bar

I am debating whether I should get the rear sway bar or the f-sport springs. I'll probably just get one of them now and get the other a little ways down the road. Which will make the biggest difference handling wise? I realise the springs will add the lowered look to it but I think I am okay with the height of the car right now. I am leaning towards the sway bar because it is much cheaper to do.

For feel do sways, looks do springs. I did it the other way around, an am glad because I now wonder...do I really need the sways? and ruled it out. I'm going to be upgrading to shocks when the time comes.

if you do decide on springs.. might wanna ask yourself about coils although the price can be around 3-4 times the springs but it would be worth it

I would choose sway bars first. I really feel that springs with stock shocks are just for looks. Save up for some coilovers

Well, I decided to go for the springs. We'll see how they turn out and if I still feel like it doesn't handle well enough I'll get the sway bar. I found a friend that will install the springs for me so that will save a lot in labor and I can probably just get both now.

Definitely get the rear sway bar while it's on sale from sewell. I just bought mine for $181 from lexus of pemberbroke, fl, and it was worth it. I installed it the other day, took like 30 min. Easy to install and my 350 corners noticeably better. I can take turns much faster with less body roll and the car just seems to point where i turn it.

just my $0.02...

Do you have a DIY? How hard would you say it is to install it?

Remove like 6 bolts, take old bar off, put bushings on new bar, put bolts back in.

15=20 minutes if you have a friend helping. Instructions come with it.

get the sway bar, then save for coilovers. springs are a waste of money if you are looking for handling. IMO.

Super easy to install. I backed the car up on ramps then waited for the exhaust to cool off. Took 6 bolts off (2-17mm & 4-12mm) removed the oem rear sway bar, then installed the new one. It requires a torque wrench, so I bought one from walmart for $25 then returned it 2 hours later.

If you were going to "borrow" one why didn't you get a good one? Your torque readings may be way off with that cheapo China junk wrench and that could have all kinds of lethal adverse effects on your handling. Dreaded snap oversteer coming off the highway entrance ramp, for instance, leaving you in the armco!
"Why oh why didn't I rip off a good wrench!" you'll be saying, while the officer writes you up for too fast for conditions!

Just kidding!
