I believe you're going to have to remove it from the car. It would be pretty hard to work on it with them still on.

Yes they have to be removed because the bushings needed to be pressed in.

Same for the Uppers, all bushings need to be pressed out. Here are the torque specs

Oh yeah I almost forgot, you will need to get an alignment and to remove the upper control arm bolt you will have to remove the washer tank. Its really easy, if need any help or have any question let me know I just did this job and it rather easy.

BULL****. Only if your bolts aren't rusted to the bushing sleeves - if they are, you'll be there for a good long unpleasant while.

But yes, if everything comes apart, it's a straightforward job.

Mine had 12 years of rust and I didnt have a single issue what so ever. I sprayed PB Blaster 3 straight days before doing the job and just used my breaker bar and all was good.

I wish. Check for my thread in this forum from the last week or two; my rear bolt on the driver's side was rusted in so hard that I had to grind it out. Turned a three hour project into a four day project.

LOL yeah I was reading that and couldnt stop laughing because I just did mine without any issues............and that was with New England winters doing their best on the car. Oh but I forgot I did use a torch to loosen the nuts a bit.

Now the rear end links...............those KICKED my *** I had to grind those SOB's off. Then to make matters worse my fuel filter replacement which should have taken about an hour took me....well I'm still working on it lol.
