Default How long do the brakes last?

Hey guys, currently im reaching 42k miles on my is350. The other day i was driving a friend around and he mentioned to me that he could hear my brake sound as if it was getting worned out. Any of you fellow lexus owners have change your brakes yet? how much from the dealer and at how many miles did you change it at?

Depends where & how you drive your car, obviously you drive alot of hiway miles. I changed my front pads only at 24,000 miles. I would not even think of taking a car to a dealer for brake work. Should be easy to find a good shop to do it for half what a Lexus dealer charges, maybe a Toyota dealer

I traded in my IS350 with almost 60k miles on it. I was still on the TSIB pads I had put in at 21k miles, and they had well over 50% thickness left. All depends on how you use the brakes.
