Default Grippiest brake pads for SC? (stock type)

Hey guys.

I've developed a problem here lately. When running at the dragstrip, my car wants to creep forward if I try and stall much over 2200 rpm or so (2800rpm stall speed).

With normal driving, the brakes feel fine, no problems.

Was hoping to get some input on a good brand of replacement pads, something that might hold the car better. Would also be nice to find something off the shelf at the local auto parts store.

I know many will suggest I upgrade to LS or Supra brakes but I really do not feel the need to do so. I feel that in most cases, the stock stuff works great even with twice the rwhp.

So, if anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Thanks,

KC

On my 240sx track car I ran Porterfield R4S pads and absolutely fell in love with them.

On my SC that i hope to get, i plan on doing either LS400 brakes or Supra TT brakes with Porterfield pads again.

Thanks for the reccomendations so far guys.

I should probably try cutting my rotors, they look a bit glazed. Couldn't hurt anyway.

I haven't heard of anyone using a trans brake on the a34xx transmissions. I do know that a few of the people that build them don't really reccomend it.

Installed Porterfield R4-S carbon-kevlar pads about a month ago and they're great.

Those are the pads I'm looking to get for my brakes when I change them.
