Default ls 400 front brake calipers

Hello community i have a sc300 with front brake calipers off a 1997 ls 400, my question is i am not sure what rotors i currently have in the front right now , but my questions is will regular sc300 rotors work with ls 400 front brake calipers ? i think the rotors in the front are from a ls 400 as well, but i am not sure, as i got the car like this already . Do i need to find out what car the front rotors i have are from, or can i just get regular sc300 front rotors and it will work fine with my ls400 front calipers.

i personally would go wit the ls400 rotors due to the fact that they are bigger then the sc300 rotors which means more stopping power. also i think they are a direct fit..!

i used LS400 rotors, I think you have to use LS400 rotors, I don't think the SC's are even big enough (in diameter)

U have the ls Rotor. if u were running ls calipers on a Sc rotor it wouldn't fit properly.

If you're currently having SC3 calipers, then 100% is that you're having SC3 rotors. LS rotor is about 1" wider so the SC3 caliper won't fit on it. You can then put it in the opposite if you have LS calipers and SC3 rotors. Even SC3 caliper and SC4 caliper aren't the same. The SC3 caliper is smaller than the SC4 and uses different pads and rotor. Hope that helps.

You have to use the LS400 rotor with an LS400 caliper. Its the same with any setup, Supra TT rotors with TT calipers, SC400, SC300, they are all different.

SC300 rotors are a smaller diameter than the LS400 rotors. They will not work. Since your SC came with LS400 calipers already on the front, your rotors will also be LS400.

Side note, so does that mean that sc400 rotors won't work on sc300 calipers

SC4's rotors are much bigger. Almost the size of the LS.
someone here mentioned irotors, I have their slotted/drilled SC4 rotors and they haven't warped in 6 months of rigorous 130-50mph slow downs

So if you have a 98+ sc300 then you can use sc400 or supra na rotors.
That's a good news. I just knew this from you.

well, will sc400 brembo rotors, drilled and slotted, work with ls400 calipers, because i already have the rotors, got them brand new for $75 off a kid that wrecked his sc400 before he got them on. I figured I couldn't use my calipers, which is why they are not on yet, but i do want to get some ls400 calipers vs sc400 because they are bigger

No. They won't fit. The setup must match.
