Your thinking of Camber,
-Toe is the tire pointed in or out looking from the top
-Camber is the tire leaning in or out from the front
-Caster is the distance from the center of the tire to the point that the tire rotates upon. Think of it as moving the tire further towards the back of the car.
Increasing caster will increase the effort required to turn the wheel, And also make the wheel snap back to center faster. There is no tire wear associated with increasing caster, just steering effort. So i like to run as much as possible, especially if you are going to drift because you can get that opposite lock going faster

just disconnected the connector on the rack and it made a HUGE difference. the steering is really heavy, but not difficult. I need an alignment so when i get it done, I will have them adjust to have more caster. Will they charge extra to do that?

disconnecting the plug on the rack will provide a heavier steering while driving under 40mph or so.. but during highway speeds or spirited driving, I wouldn't recommend it.
At higher speeds, the power assist feature provides a tighter steering response. Without it, the steering wheel feels very sloppy/loose..

The steering can't feel the same.. With the power boost, assist whatever its called (LOL) disconnected, the steering feels heavier. That we all agree with. At low speeds the steering feels stiffer, if you will, because the weight of the vehicle is on the front tires.. As you begin to gain momentum, the weight transfers to the rear, allowing the steering to be easier and not as heavy, almost a sloppy feel to it..
With the power assist connected, this prevents the sloppy feel and provides a tighter steering..
Again, this is all from what I am feeling... I could be wrong..
