Default How do you Guys do it? (actually means) Coilover question.

So, I put my coilovers on and am only able to barely put my finger in between the top of the tire and the fender. I want to tuck my SC all the way around, but, every time I go over a speed bump, I scrape just a bit. I suppose my question is, how do you Guys (That are tucked) make it over speed bumps?

Sometimes, they are unavoidable, you know?

Thanks!!!

probably shouldn't ride that low on a dd, if they are unavoidable then its not worth risking your kit

if ya wanna ride low what i did before on my integra when i had cusco coilovers is take out the lower perch and turn the lower part up whatever turns you wanna go up. Then jack up the lower lca to line up with the hole youll notice the arm/spindle is up higher when u put your rims on itll sit lower.

I have my coilovers bottomed out. My fenders are rolled to prevent scrubbing the tires obviously. In regards to speed bumps, to prevent pounding your exhaust on the speed bump, approach it at an angle. Even when you creep the 2 front tires over simultaneously the weight of the car has nowhere to go but down until the rear tires reach the bump. Therefore, use a medium pace and hit it at angle to spread out the weight transfer. I have no issues at all with the exception of those occasional speed bumps that are a *****ing foot tall. Hope this helps.

Yeah my car is pretty low and I daily it. The front crossmember is probably my lowest point. It sits about 2.5 - 3" from the ground. My suspension can go alot lower but since I'm on 18s it would be more difficult. What size wheels are you on? I would suggest to first get everything under your car to sit higher like your exhaust, intercooler piping, etc. And like tumblez30 said approach at an angle. I have absolutely no problem getting around and my ride is still pretty comfortable even though I increase the preload and set my coilovers more on the stiff side settings. Just know where you are driving and don't make the same mistake twice.
