I am having the same issue as the OP, I guess I too made the mistake of assuming a new Lexus would be properly aligned from the factory & again when I took my IS350 to the dealer when I had steel belts showing on inner edge of front tires at 18,000 miles. Now at 36,500 my inner edge is bald again. This is not normal, my car is totally stock including 18" tire size. When Nissan had a simular issue with the 2003 350Z Nissan corrected the problem & replaced the front tires, where is Lexus customer service that I have heard so much about & influenced my purchase decision.

I had the same issue at 18250 miles, my front inner tires had the belts showing. Unfortunately I was in the middle of my spring install when I found out my belts were showing and new if I tried taking it to the dealership, they would blame my springs. So I decided to replace all 4 tires and had them do a 4 wheel alignment.

Are you saying you drive 18,000 miles between alignments? If so, that is your problem right there.

Won't know for a while. I'm at 18350 miles now and only driven a 100 miles since the install of my tires and alignment.

After all this talk about camber and toe, my question is what are the settings range for the front toe to get an even wear of your tires and prolong the tire change every 15-18K miles. We know that the camber is not adjustable and -1.5 is not a that bad for tire wear. I to have F-Sport Springs and just install new rims & tire and will like for them to last a while. Thanks

That is incorrect, it is impossible to state how often a vehicle needs realignment of it's suspension. I have my cars realigned as soon as I am aware it needs it from constantly monitoring steering wheel orientation & treadwear. When I bought a new Lexus I did not realise I needed to crawl under the car to see the extreme inner edge of the front tires

I think spec for the front toe is at 0 degrees.

0 degrees shouldn't cause tire wear

Thanks Lobux, I will specify the more conservative tolerance for my next alignment & get a before & after printout to verify. Hopefully that will solve my problem

Just remember rubber bushings will tend to toe out dynamically, so a slight toe-in might be best from a tire wear perspective.

My F killed the inside edges on the fronts in 21,400 miles. I was seeing cords. I'm still trying to decide if I really want to toe it in a little or if I want to keep the nice turn in it has.
