Yeah I paid about the same price but no rotors ... I also want to get the dust shields than taking mine off completely. They are there for a reason so I don't want to take it out.

Going to look good, and hopefully be functional as well. Lets see some pics when you get em up and running.

Maybe you should paint "Sumitomo" on them.

I just put these LS400 front calipers with braided brake lines all around along with OEM brake pads and LS400 rotors on my 98 SC300. I absolutely love the transformation. BTW, I have an extra set of 1996 LS400 front calipers in nice condition for sale. $160 shipped, price is firm and comes with the proper mounting bolts. Let me know if you want them.

Anyone know the difference in SC400 front rotor diameter and Piston surface area vs. LS400? I'd like to do the math before doing the upgrade. Thanks.

You don't need to do the math Rex. LS400 FTW!! I have about 400 invested in my LS front brake upgrade.

forget the math, the up grade is much better than sc400, no question. BTW, my extra set of front LS400 1995 calipers (fresh black paint plus LEXTREME caliper stickers are still for sale, proper bolts too!), just pm me more more info. This is a great deal.

... I'm glad to see some response... Well, I cleaned and painted the calipers a little over 2 weeks ago. Thanks Baoser for the simple green advice. It works like wonders.

I went with a gold paint since I got so much extras from previous projects. I haven't had a chance to put the calipers on yet because i'm still saving up for a set of rotors.

I'll snap some pictures when I get home from work to show you guys what I have so far.

Don't forget, you may have to grind/file down a little nub (1/4 inch approx) on the caliper so that the 2 mounting holes line up perfectly straight. I just used my $12 Harbor Freight angle grinder and in like 5 secs had it done. When you try and mount your calipers you see where it hits and what I am talking about. Good luck on your install and do the metal brake line upgrade as well, it really helps with the pedal feel.
