Default NEW TSB: Noise with F-sport Springs!! Released 10-14-09

I'm a 3GS owner but I received a new TSB from my shop foreman today and I thought I'd let you 2IS guys with the F-Sport springs know that there's a new TSB for updated springs! I believe some or most of you have clunking noise from the rear suspension when going over bumps??

Sorry I don't have the TSB on hand but I can post it up for you guys monday. I believe it said that it's a 12/12 warranty, basically 12mos/12,000mi from the day you purchased the springs, forgot if it said it had to be dealer installed. Either way, go to your local dealerships and get your springs ordered!

************UPDATE*************

I've got the PDF file here...but I don't know how to upload it to this forum tho...but basically here's what/who is covered:

All 2006-2009 IS250, IS350
TSB# L-SB-0151-09
NEW Part# PTR07-53091
OLD Part# PTR07-53080

**F-Sport parts installed as OEM(bought brand new with F-Sport parts already installed) 4yr/50k warranty.

**F-Sport parts installed by dealer(originally bought without F-Sport parts installed) 12mos/12k warranty.

**F-Sport parts purchased over-the-counter are 12mos from the date of purchase.

Yeah, i love the H&R drop (BEST drop for springs imo)... but im ruunning 19X8.5 front and im afraid about rubbing.... as of right now, i rub a little on turns (but a heat gun can take care of that) ...

Default F-sport Rear Coil Sring Click Noise Service Bulletin

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but there is a technical service bulletin for the F-sport rear clunk/click noise. I was looking at TIS this morning and I happened to have found this.

Oh another thing I should add, it is not an item that is in stock because the TSIB just came out. When you bring your vehicle it, you'll most likely have them write up the repair order for you so they can verify the noise then they can order the updated part for you.

Thanks for posting. Would you have PDF version of this? Damn it, I wasted my money on Tein rubber sleeves.

Any idea the springs have to be originally purchased from the dealer in order to qualify for this fix? I did install thru dealer.

According to the Bulletin "Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this
bulletin" so I wouldn't think so. As long as the noise is there and they can confirm it, they should be able to perform the LSB because the bulletin is for the rear springs themselves.

I want to see the actual TSIB or at least the reference number.

Good, there it is in the other thread!
