sorry if the question seems stupid, but does when you have EDFC, does that mean you can't have a front STB??

I use to have the TRD STB, but that won't work. I order the UGO STB from Steve, hope this will work with EDFC.

gwu128,

I've got my FLEX (Was lucky enough to change my order from the CS to FLEX before Steve was able to go to TEIN) on its way to me from Carson Toyota without the EDFC (Don't know where to put it in my ride plus I didn't think I would use it too much) so I was wondering if the installation of the FLEX coilover went smoothly and if the instructions were to the point.. The place that is going to do my install have done alot of TEIN (HA & CS) installs but as far as I know haven't done a FLEX install as of yet.. Anything I should look out for when they do the install.. ie. Pillowball Mount ect ect..

Great pictures and write up.. Any insite you can give me would be most appreciated..

Ken

This is awesome ! ! !

I keep changing my settings depending my driving mood, roads, etc. Plus when I just want to cruise, I like full soft. I'll be tweeking this thing all the time.

It looks like the RMM STB will clear.

How much and who sells it?

Thanks ! ! !

Hehehhe...cool....someone else got to be the guinea pig on this one! So how did the install go for you? Where did you set your lower shock body height at? How long did the install take?

Did you get the english version of the EDFC manual? If not, ask Tein USA to fax it to you.

How did you wire your EDFC...meaning where did your RUN your wires through? Who did the install?

I'm getting mine put in this week (it's been sitting at my house for a couple of weeks now)....

I have the UGO STB's so we'll see if it work...

Send SUPRATRD (Steve Ganz @ Carson Toyota) a PM or email him at gonzo4U@earthlink.net and he'll be happy to hook you up with a price for both the EDFC and FLEX or just the FLEX.. Hope that helps!

I asked Steve at Carson Toyota to find out if the EDFC will work on other Tein coilovers, besides the Flex. I also asked if he can get the dimensions for the motor, so I can measure if my STB will still fit. It looks real close, but the RMM STB might clear it.

Either Steve or I will post any new information as he receives it.

Default Ganz's response

At the moment, Steve said that Tein told him the EDFC will "probably" not work with their other shocks, other than the Flex. From the photos, I don't see any physical difference between the Flex's and mine. I don't know why the Tein rep would tell him "probably not" instead of definitely not. It either does or it doesn't .

Steve said I should try to call Tein myself. I 'm sensing that he asked me to try again, because he didn't feel all that warm and fuzzy about the Tein reps response.

If anyone knows more information about this, please let us know.

Thanks

The motor units are 45mm x 45mm x 34mm (to the "base", not to the tip of the of the "spinner")...

Thanks Manaray.

I'll eventually post if the RMM STB will clear the motors.

Now if I can verify "officially from Tein" if the EDFC will work on HA's, etc.
