Default ABS after 1jz swap

Hey I wanted to know if anyone has had success in getting ABS to work after swaping to a 1jz setup.

I have changed the abs/trac ecu to abs obly ecu
I have the abs speed sensor = dont know where i should be hooking this up to (driftmotion sells them)

I would like to figure this out before it starts to snow cause power in snow with no abs or trac =

You might call Dr Tweak, he can make anything work. Don't expect the answer for free though...

That's odd. So how do I know if I have ABS after the swap? The ABS light isn't on?

I assumed he just makes it work.

Thanks,
Ryan

maybe yours works. Easy way to find out is to stomp on the brakes and see if your wheels lock up.

did you have traction control on your car and what year is your car along with what engine swap?

I have a 1995 5spd(no traction control) chassis

with an automatic(no traction control) 1992 1jzgte Soarer engine set.

The ABS light is not on.

I've never had to stomp the brakes due to the Supra calipers at all 4 corners, but I will do it and see what happens.

92 SC300 5-speed non-trac.

Soarer 5-speed non-trac swap (year unknown).

No light and I'm almost certain my ABS works. I have stomped on the brakes in icy spots last few weeks and it appears to work as before. However, I'm not sure how many channels this ABS is nor do I know what the operating parameters are in terms of what speed it will or will not activate so I'm not terribly certain that it works fully.

I found another thread that also mentioned the ABS sensor from Driftmotion. Can anyone simply explain this one?? In details

I also have the non traction control 1jz. I have abs. not sure if that is the issue but sound like something in that area to look into to get it to work. Maybe swap out the unit with your eom unit or look into the wiring. I know on my gs300 the abs and traction control work together. I had to check all the components to find the problem.

Maybe you are right abou this problem. I do have both components being a SC400 with trac and ABS. I am not worried about traction control just the ABS, cause this car sucks at slowing down...
