Ok I will probably just leave the rear alone then. But as far as why I am upgrading the front brakes.....Why not? I already have the wheels and ss lines. It's just another modification to add to the list. I am not too worried about stop time, or auto crossing the car, to me it's all about just having a nice custom ride. The more tasteful mods I have done to the car, the nicer the car feels to me. It will also make the front brakes look less whimpy with my 19's on there. I guess it's just for the image, and bragging rights somewhat
Nice, I'm getting my calipers back from the powdercoater in 2 days, then I will rebuild with new seals. I will post some pictures when I get them back.
yes this is a great upgrade for the money you could have gone to autozone for the calipers there only 95 per side already rebuilt for you... and i just made my own rcas but am going to get the ones from figs once they come out it there histeer arm upgrade for the lower ball joint has well...

if you just go out and purchased the rebuilt ones, what about the bolts and shims?
I would think you could use your existing bolts, they should be the same thread pitch. Shims and hardware kit you would have to buy, inless you bought aftermarket pads which sometimes come with the shims. I found an e-bay auction for OEM calipers that look like they are in great shape....the bid is currently at $99 with no bidders. Item number: 150404927610 on e-bay
ditto...did mines today...pm me if you have questions.
How much of the backing plate did you have to trim off in order for the caliper to fit? That's really the only part of the job I can see myself wasting a little time on.

I didn't trim anything. I folded it twice with pliers....each time flattening it was much as possible. Just make sure nothing rubs against the rotor shield/backing plate.
