Where are you guys getting Stance's for $1060? I was getting ready to drop $1200 on a new set.
If you are getting a popping or pinging sound it might be one or all of the 3 bolts that attach to the strut tower might be loose. Get the car up in the air ASAP and check everything. A suspension failure on the road will not be a good thing.

here use this to learn about the parts of the coilover. I know this is not your brand but this was a quick search to tell you what the parts are and what they do.

Ah the spring perch. I had the drivers side tire off only and it was loose enough to unscrew with my hand and move. I put 150 miles on the car already, hopefully it's not too late to tighten. Thanks

There should be 3 collars.
The one on the TOP is the Spring Perch
The one in the MIDDLE is the Spring Perch Retainer
The one on the BOTTOM is the Height Adjustment Collar.
To find out if you have your springs preloaded:
- Loosen the middle collar
- Spin the collar until you have a few threads in between the top and middle collars.
- Loosen the top collar (spring perch) and watch the spring. If it unwinds, they were preloaded.
- If the spring does not unload, and the shock body moves down with the spring, it's fine.
After:
- Make sure you've unloaded the springs.
- Tighten the TOP collar until just tight on the spring.
- Tighten the MIDDLE collar to the TOP collar(perch)
- Make sure the TOP AND MIDDLE are tight together.
I would do it with the coilovers OFF the car because the coilovers will stay loaded with the car's weight on it. When you're done, your height might be all over the place depending on how badly your mechanic ****ed up.
If they were preloaded and all ****ed:
Go find a REPUTABLE ALIGNMENT SHOP to fix your height and alignment. Get your mechanic to cover a bit of it for ****ing it up.
This is as simple as I can make it sound. If you can't do it or understand, go find a reputable shop NOW.

^No preload, nothing moved under the weight of the car when I loosened it.
How tight should the perch be against the spring exactly? I have it to where they are right up against each other, but the spring can spit around as if the weren't close at all. Should it be tighter than that? Someone said there should be movement, so I allowed as much as possible with the perch against the spring.

2. Once that is set, lock the two perches together to prevent it from moving.
3. The far bottom perch controls height. You should be able to spin the threaded shock body to your height, not the bottom piece that connects to the control arm. Once you are set at the height you want, lock down that bottom perch against that bottom piece connecting the control arm.
4. Twist the dampening ***** (at the top of the shocks, where the 3 bolts are to connect to chassis) to full soft (should be counter-clockwise) and adjust from there to however you want it to ride.
That's it.
