because Jiffy Lube is well known for having to warranty engines because they do not pay squat = you get horse sheet workers.

Never go to Jiffy Lube unless you have a friend who works there and knows what they're doing.

Court date is scheduled for the 27th of this month....
Heres something to remember cause I've had to deal with this stuff during a near death accident. I havent dont the math, but depending on how much your attorney is charging and depending on your contract with your attorney, settlement may be better than the $7k. in general an attorney charges around 20%-25% of winnings if you settle, so doing quick math, out of $2000 you'll get $1500-$1600 but if it goes to trial they up to the maximum which is 33 1/3% so 33 1/3% of $7000 you'd get $4669... so ok, yea go for it but again during all your mediations and future offers, keep in mind those numbers (if thats what your contract states )

good luck. and yea, these things can last forever (when big). Oh yea, make sure you get a list of what 'costs' your attorney has cause that will be in addition to his percentage In my case the other attorneys new what the max that I could come out with (if went to trial) and were able to give me a settlement offer that was greater than what I would have gotten if went to court (after paying attorney and bills and such) so they payed less out of pocket and I got payed more in the long run.

X2. I had a buddy that just finished up litigation against a former employer regarding a large sum of commission money. In the end he won but in hindsight he should have taken the settlement offer and moved on, but like you he wanted to stick it to em.

I don't blame you for that but just think about the time and money you're going to spend taking this "all the way", especially if you have a wife and kids at home. . It could be worth just taking the settlement money and moving on.

has your attorney made any counter offers? tell him to make it $5k and you'll come out pretty good.

***UPDATE*** 10/18

My attorney offered $5500 as a settlement with nohing back yet from them as of today. Court is in a week and frankly I'm looking forward to it going to court if we need to.

I spoke with the Arapoahoe County Sheriff which fed us BS - since they didnt deprive me of my mounts its not considered theft! That is the biggest BS statue in the world. So I could take someones laptop from say a starbucks - download all their files - then give it back when the police come and i wont get a ticket because i didnt deprive them of it when they finally realized it was gone and I gave it back. WTF!

So I'll let everyone know, depending on the suite I have pre written letters ready to be posted and sent to the following; BBB, Colorado Automotive Protective Agency, Rip Off Report, Complaints Board, You tube video and much much more......

awesome. Whether you get all the money or not, the BBB, CAPA etc. is priceless! and whatever you get is more than you need to fix the car, so you come out ahead

BTW, has your attorney confirmed that its a for sure win case? or is it a possibility you might lose and lose it all?
