The labor charge done by dealership is always a bull shlt.

1.5 hours for L-Tuned bold on? Should take no more than 0.5 hours to do that.
Tell me how hard is it to remove 4 screw by power tool? Heck the L-T even uses stock hanger.
8 hours of labor for suspension? Bull.. I ask my dealer before, got the same crap from them. Here is how they came up with 8 hours. By the Lexus dealer book, 4 hr for spring, 4 hr for shock. But, let is the labor quote for just changing them individual and independent. If you remove the spring, heck you have to remove the whole setup any way.. decompress and recompress.. It should be charge 4 hours in total. (Tell them that.. ask them to brake down the 8 hr, you will see what I mean… ask them since you are doing them at the same time, you should not be 4 hr and 4 hr for individual setup. They are the same. Should be charge one rate… if they don’t agree.. find some other lex dealership to quote.,, the price…

This is the only Lexus dealership in 200 miles that does L-tuned installs. I'm pretty much stuck if I want it warrantied.

Angry

I feel your pain.........mine is the only dealer in the whole state!!!

But you are definitely getting the hose on labor. Should be no more than an hour per corner, and if it takes an hour and a half to do mufflers, it's only cause the mech is taking a nap for an hour of that time.

And I've noted a trend in Lexus dealers apparently seeing how fast they can jack the hourly labor rate; I sure like getting my fluids checked at $goddawful/hr.

I agree... they are full of shxt. No business ethics... Not only the hourly rate is expensive.. they also false charge customer of the labor hours.
